Bursary Support Through Friends of Staffordshire’s Young Musicians (FOSYM)

Our partner, Friends of Staffordshire’s Young Musicians (FOSYM) makes grants to enable pupils achieve their musical potential and actively seeks other funding streams that can cover a variety of music activities. You can donate and support the work of Stoke-on-Trent City Music Service’s work via FOSYM.

Friends of Stoke City Music Service

City Music Service is hugely grateful for the support it receives in both time and resources from individuals and organisations across the county.

What is the purpose of the Friends?

They raise money to support City Music Service with the buying of music/equipment, supporting events/concerts and much more. They also help at staff events by selling raffle tickets and photographs.

Come along and find out more about the Friends

They would love to see you at one of their termly meetings held at The Bridge Centre at the same time that CMS ensembles take place. Come along and have a coffee, a biscuit and a say in deciding how young musicians are supported when they embark on the challenges of learning an instrument and joining a musical ensemble.

What if I don’t have time?

Don’t worry, you can still be involved as there is no extra commitment of time needed. Our Friends usually come and help out at the concerts that they would be attending anyway and it is a lovely way to meet new people.

The Friends would love to see you at one of their meetings, but if you are unable to attend and could offer some pre-concert help at an upcoming event then please get in touch by completing our contact form.

Friends of Stoke-on-Trent City Music Service (Charity no. 1121321) was established to offer added support to Stoke-on-Trent City Music Service. They meet once a term at The Bridge Centre in Birches Head.
